AAC recently completed the first phase of a significant demolition project at the RIT Saunders College of Business. In addition to selective demolition of large sections of brick wall and storefront systems, AAC performed the structural dismantling of a 2-story entryway and canopy.

Structural components included roof & 2nd floor decks and structural steel beams & columns. Because of the surrounding structure to remain and the ongoing occupancy of adjacent areas, all demolition was completed manually. Large components (up to 5,000 lbs.) were rigged out using a telescoping forklift equipped with a jib.

We were also contracted to install the spray applied fireproofing to the new steel and the firestopping of the wall joints and penetrations.
